Access to the Pwin is open access for the public within the coverage area. To access from farther distance and assure a more secure, uninterrupted signal residents may participate in the open signal initiative by purchasing a low cost wireless access antenna with installation from the Public Wireless Information Network.

How does this benefit the Public?

This project started by Computer Village extends the advantages of online internet access to all individuals of the community. This will provide an immense array of news and information from online resources, local institutions and organizations; benefiting those families and individuals unable to afford or acquire internet access through their local ISP.

Through the Pwin, schools and other educational institutions and organizations will be able to provide educational content and pertinent resources to local student bodies and residents within the community. This will also allow for distance education and provide a platform for interactive learning resources to be available for grade school students in the community with out the need for internet connection.

This will also help to provide equal access to every individual to acquire the wherewithal they need to improve their lives rather it be job search, health and medical information,  educational learning and most importantly local, state and federal government public announcements and policies.

Through this initiative we will create more IT related jobs in the local area and community. The Pwin will help to advance the goals of transparency set forth by the current federal executive administration, by providing equal access to policies and information that affects all citizens not just the ones who can afford internet.
