Introduction to Basic Microsoft Excel 2003

Overview:

This workshop is designed to give participates a basic understanding and skills need to properly operate the Microsoft Excel 2003 application, such as basic terminology, automatic features, entering and editing data, using equations, and creating charts&graphs through hands on activities.

After completing the course participates will be able to:

  • Properly Open, Close, Save, Print, Workbooks and Worksheets
  • Properly uses the cut, copy, drag, drop, and paste features
  • Become familiar with the four common cursor styles used in Excel.
  • Inserting and formatting role, columns, worksheet, and cell
  • Creating spreadsheet, writing equations, and formatting cells
  • Analyze the results of a simple survey using excel
  • Create and insert charts and graphs, tables, clip-art, and pictures
  • Create equations and use functions
  • Make use of Font color, borders and shades
